Protein Packed Oatmeal

Total Time:  45 minutes
Ingredients:

  • 2 ¼ cups       Water

  • 1 cup             Whole milk

  • ½ tsp.           Salt

  • 1 cup             Steel cut oatmeal

  • ½ to 1 scoop    3FU3L protein powder, vanilla flavored (or personal choice) 


Preparation:

  1. Bring water, milk and salt to a gentle boil. 

  2. Add steel cut oats and stir, bring to low heat or gentle simmer, cover. 

  3. Keep your eye on oats cooking by stirring occasionally. 

  4. After 10-15 minutes of cooking, add protein powder and whisk until well combined, about 2-3 minutes of whisking.

  5. Continue to cook until almost all of the liquid has soaked into the oats.  Turn heat off and rest for 5 minutes.

  6. Season as desired (e.g., ground cinnamon, nutmeg, etc.).

  7. Cool until ready to store in airtight container or Tupperware.  

  8. Enjoy with nuts, toasted coconut, sliced banana or toppings of choice.  

  9. When reheating after refrigeration, add ¼ cup of water to oatmeal for optimal texture. 


Serving Size:  ½ cup cooked
